ACCELERATING THE FIGHT AGAINST MALARIA – KEDI 2024 MALARIA AWARENESS MONTH
As the world continues its fight against Malaria, KEDI Healthcare Industries Nigeria Limited reaffirmed her commitment to eradicate this deadly disease by taking some giants strides throughout the month of April in line with her CSR Plan stipulated in her Five Years Development Plan.
As it is her custom every year, KEDI invested heavily in an intensive and purposeful massive public enlightenment campaign both online on all her social media platforms and offline at all her offices nationwide. Different intensive sessions were handled by her seasoned Lecturers who left no stone unturned as they educated the public on the prevention, causes, complications and treatment of Malaria at her weekly seminars throughout the month of April.
This year’s activities were flagged off with series of public enlightenment posts about Malaria and its complications on all the Company’s social media platforms. On Thursday, 25th April, 2024, a special commemorative TALK TO KEDI broadcast was held on the Company’s Facebook page @kedihealthcareindustries and Instagram account @kedihealthcare_official to further inform, educate and enlighten the public about the deadly disease through a mouth-watering giveaway where many viewers won ONE PACK OF QINGHAO CAPSULE each.
Apart from the thorough public enlightenment campaign on Malaria, KEDI also stretched her hand of love to EIGHTEEN LOCAL COMMUNITIES mostly affected by Malaria in states where her Branches and Owerri Regional office are located nationwide and this year’s edition was massive.
The 18 communities visited are: Oloruntedo Community, Lagos State, Ogbere Idi-Osan Community, Ibadan, Oyo State, Ekeki Community, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Ngwo Enugu North, Enugu State, Ifitedunu Community, Dunukaofia, Anambra State, Ibrahim Bako Community, Bauchi State, Gaya Community, Gaya, Kano State, Bole 3 Community, Yola South, Adamawa State, Zuba Community, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Oka 3 Community, Benin, Edo State, Okobo Egbhi Ewang Community, Okobo, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, Laduba Community, Asa, Ilorin, Kwara State, Rumuolukwu Community, Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Amakohia Community, Amakohia, Owerri West LGA, Imo State, Sabon Gari Community, Zaria, Kaduna State, Ifelodun Onipetesi Area Community, Ijoko-Ifo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Ilobu Community, Ilobu, Osun State and Ijigba Community, Akure, Ondo State.
The Malaria Awareness & Donation which took place between Monday, 22nd of April, 2024 and Saturday, 27th of April, 2024 had in attendance thousands of people comprising inhabitants of the selected communities as well as guests from neighboring communities who gathered together with so much expectance and elation to receive not just the gift items to be donated but also the health and wealth that KEDI offers.
In all the communities visited across the country through our Branches and Owerri Regional Office, products and items worth millions of naira were donated. Over 2, 000 packs of Insecticide-treated Mosquito Nets and packs of our highly efficacious antimalarial tablet – Qinghao Capsule as well as our detailed Malaria Flyer were distributed to the attendees present.
The event was received with gratitude and enthusiasm from the local communities as the community leaders and residents expressed appreciation to KEDI for her magnanimity, support and commitment to improving health across the country.
In their words, “the donation initiative will foster a sense of unity and collaboration, as community members will come together to tackle their common enemy – Malaria”. Many of the inhabitants of the communities visited registered immediately to enjoy the life-changing compensatory packages that KEDI offers.
As a reputable healthcare organization, KEDI will continue to exert efforts in the global fight against Malaria until the deadly disease is eradicated in the African continent and all over the world.
