SECOND WAVE OF KEDI 2023 (CSR) DONATION CAMPAIGN

SECOND WAVE OF KEDI 2023 (CSR) DONATION CAMPAIGN

As a Socially Responsible Healthcare organization of repute, KEDI Healthcare Industries Nigeria Limited invests heavily every year in two different waves of donation to the underprivileged in the society, to save souls and give hope to the needy because we know that all fingers are not equal.

The first wave was done in April during the commemoration of 2023 World Malaria Day while the second wave took place on Tuesday, 3rd October, 2023 at 17 Orphanage Homes in the host states of our Training Centres nationwide.

The 17 Orphanage Homes visited are Citadel of Grace Orphanage Home in Lagos, Tender Heart Orphanage Home in Benin, Nassarawa Children Home in Kano, Priesthood Orphanage in Port Harcourt, Guardian Angels Motherless Babies Home in Enugu, Hope Orphanage Home in Ilorin, Mfon-Abasi Orphanage Home in Uyo, Ark of Refuge Orphanage Home in Abuja, Government Rehabilitation Home in Yola, Cornerstone Orphanage Home in Bauchi, The Care People Foundation Motherless Babies Home in Ibadan, Idemili North Community Children Home in Anambra, Faith Works Orphanage in Kaduna, Daisy Home for Special Children in Bayelsa, Gideon Orphanage Home in Abeokuta, Abiye Orphanage Home in Osogbo and Ondo State Mother Care Orphanage Home in Akure.

Items donated to the children at all the donation locations are Washing Machine, Packs of Tea, Packs of Milk, Gallons of Groundnut Oil, Gallons of Disinfectant, Cartons of Noodles, Bags of Rice, Packs of Toothpaste, Cartons of Detergent, Bags of Tissue Paper, Cartons of Spaghetti, KEDI Multivitamin + Zinc Effervescent Tablet amongst others.

Apart from the donation exercise, KEDI staff and distributors who were present at the donation locations bonded with the children and motivated them to embrace a positive outlook to life regardless of their backgrounds. In their words, ‘Your background should not put your back on the ground. Don’t let anyone despise you, you are not less than other children. Be positive, be happy, be contented, be focused and you will definitely succeed’.

Our Branch Marketing Officers took the children through a fun-filled and educative session with the topic – THE RISK OF ULTRA-PROCESSED FOODS AND HEALTHY LIVING. The children were taught the meaning, types and risk of ultra-processed foods. They were also taught some healthy tips to help them live healthy and live long. The children took turns to ask questions concerning healthy and unhealthy foods as well as the lifestyle habits that they should avoid. After the lecture, it was game time. The children excitedly participated in the game as each volunteer who supplied the correct answer was gifted a branded KEDI pen.

Representing the Management at the Lagos Donation Centre, the Marketing Manager – Mr. Mellon Sheng shared some benefits of KEDI business with the Home’s Administrators and also assured the children that KEDI loves them so much and wishes them the very best in their future endeavours.

The Home Manager of each Home appreciated the management of KEDI for her magnanimity. They also prayed for the continuous growth and expansion of the Company. Group pictures were taken with the Home Administrators only in some locations in line with the Home’s in-house policy while the children were permitted to take pictures with the Home Administrators, KEDI staff and distributors in some other locations.

As we bask in the accolades of this great feat, we remain committed more than ever to keep impacting our host communities positively and also contributing to the greater good of the society.
