Every year on February 14th, people honor and celebrate their love for one another by spending time together,sending flower and sharing messages of love. The ritual of expressing love and affection goes far beyond the courtly love of Chaucer’s time. He may have been the first person to link the Catholic Saint Valentine with romance; but in recent times, Valentine’s Day V is a time to show appreciation for family, friends and clients as well.
KEDI was not left out in the celebration of love either. As a way of showing love to her esteemed and diversified distributors, a special valentine campaign was put together to appreciate and celebrate their continuous partnership and dogged commitment over the years.
An online post was created to be shared online; the three shared posts with the most number of likes were to be rewarded respectively. The second runner up would be going home with an electric iron and a mini packet of revive (3rd position), the first runner up (2nd position) would be parting away with a toasting machine and a packet of mini revive while the winner (1st position) would be smiling home with an electric blender and a packet of mini revive.
The aim of the campaign apart from showing love to our distributors was to create a platform for interaction between the organization and her distributors online, to get more followers on our social media platforms and also to make our online platforms more active.
The post was made on the 7th of February and as at the time of collating on the 14th of February, the #kedivalentine special promo post on Facebook ( official account and page) had about 1169 shares, 3047 likes and 67 comments with 59 likes and 7 comments on Instagram. These statistics means that about 3,000 people participated in the campaign.
At the end of the closing date, three winners emerged. Coming up as the second runner up was Uwaoma Nnamdi from Lagos with about 209 likes; Mrs. Peace Zion ended up as the first runner up from Lagos with about 211 likes and the winner, Eze Onaghise from Benin had about 344 likes.
The winners were filled with excitement and thanked the Founder and Management of KEDI for showing them love and making the season a memorable one for them.
In the same vein, in a bid to reach out to all distributors across the country that might not have had the privilege to be gifted in the valentine special online activity, a Special Valentine’s Day purchase (a gesture of love) was observed in all our branch offices and head office. Simply put, whoever purchased any of our products in any of our offices across the country smiled home with either a Dr. Cap key holder or a table calendar accordingly.
At the end of the end of the day, about 413 pieces of Dr. Cap Key holders and 311 table calendars were distributed across the country to all who walked into in any of our offices on the 14th of February, 2019 – Valentine’s Day to make purchase.
