STRONGER TOGETHER AGAINST MALARIA: KEDI 2025 MALARIA AWARENESS MONTH ACTIVITIES

In a remarkable show of commitment to public health and community development, KEDI Healthcare Industries Nigeria Limited successfully embarked on her 2025 Malaria Donation Campaign, a core part of her Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Plan as outlined in her Five Years Development Plan.

Throughout the month of April, KEDI intensified her long-standing efforts to combat malaria, one of Africa’s deadliest diseases, through a powerful combination of public enlightenment and direct community support. As is her tradition each year during her Malaria Awareness Month, the Company executed a comprehensive sensitization campaign both online and offline, reaching thousands of Nigerians with critical, life-saving information about how to live a malaria-free life.

The campaign kicked off online with a series of informative posts, engaging quizzes, and awareness content across the Company’s social media platforms. These activities were designed to educate, impact, and engage the public, sparking curiosity and deepening understanding about malaria. The response was overwhelming, as many followers actively participated and expressed a keen desire to learn more about the disease and how to combat it.

Beyond awareness, KEDI extended a hand of generosity to 18 malaria-prone local communities across Nigeria. The locations visited were Oko Afo-Eremi Community in Badagry, Lagos State; Kolomi Community in Ibadan, Oyo State; Etegwe Community in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State; Ikiriki Community in Enugu State; Oraifite Community in Ekwusigo, Anambra State;  Yelwa Community in Bauchi State;  Yan Shani Community in Kano State, Bajaburi Community in Adamawa State, Jikwoyi Community in Abuja, Evbuotubu Community in Edo State;  Ikot Ekpe Nuedo Community in Akwa Ibom State;  Oke Oso Community in Ilorin, Kwara State;  Aleto Community in Eleme, Rivers State;  Amuzukwu Village in Umuahia, Abia State;  Sarki Community in Sabo, Kaduna State; Irewunmi Community n Ota, Ogun State;  Oba Oke Community in Osogbo, Osun State and Igbara Oke Community in Ondo State.

The donation campaign took place between 22nd April and 27th April, 2025 during which thousands of residents gathered with excitement and anticipation as the KEDI donation team – made up of dedicated distributors and staff, arrived bearing both gifts and goodwill.

Across all the visited communities, KEDI donated almost 2,000 packs of branded insecticide-treated mosquito nets, over 2,000 bottles of branded insecticide spray, close to 2,000 branded buckets, hundreds of packs of Qinghao Capsule and her specially-designed malaria flyer. The total value of the donated items ran into whooping multiple millions of naira.

The impact was profound. Community leaders and residents warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to KEDI management for the gesture. In the words of one of the community representatives who was interviewed after the event in Badagry, “This donation initiative has brought us together and rekindled our hope in the fight against malaria. KEDI has not only given us tools but also a sense of purpose in protecting our health.”

Inspired by the awareness and generosity, many community members in all the locations visited, registered immediately to explore and benefit from KEDI’s transformative health and wealth opportunities. Group photographs were taken and everyone went home elated.

As the curtains fall on this year’s malaria awareness campaign, KEDI reaffirms her commitment to continue championing the eradication of malaria—not just in Nigeria, but across the African continent and beyond.

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can defeat malaria.
