SUPPORTING OUR DISTRIBUTORS – PANDEMIC RELIEF ITEMS DISTRIBUTION

It is noteworthy that Nigeria recorded her first case of the deadly Coronavirus Disease on the 27th of February, 2020 and since then, the government has taken different proactive measures which includes varying degrees of restrictions on movement of persons and goods, public gatherings and markets within the country which have led to a downturn of economic activities and spelt untold hardship for the populace.

As the effect of the pandemic continues to bite harder with extreme hunger ravaging the citizenry, it is no gainsaying that giving back to the society at such a time as this should be the goal of every people-centric organization.

As a responsible organization which prioritizes social responsibility and people’s empowerment, KEDI Healthcare Industries Nigeria Limited stretched out her hands of love with an initiative to support some distributors at this difficult time by partnering with Top Leaders in the Region to distribute food items in most of the Cities and States where her Regional and Branch Offices are located across the country with a view to mitigating the impact of the pandemic on her distributors.

The distributions which took place between 30th of April to 8th of May, 2020 in different the Cities and States were well coordinated by the Branch Marketing Officer of the concerned Branch Offices and the Regional Manager of the concerned Regions respectively.

The Branch Offices that took part in the pandemic relief items distribution include: IKEJA, APAPA, ENUGU, YOLA, BAUCHI, ABUJA, BENIN, UYO and ILORIN. Other Cities where the relief items distribution took place are: Onitsha in Anambra State, Ibadan in Oyo State, Osogbo in Osun State, Abeokuta in Ogun State Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State.

About Five Million Naira worth of food items were massively distributed ranging from Spaghetti, Noodles, Semovita amongst other food items to cushion the effect of the harsh economy on our distributors.

Recently, the Managing Director – Mr. Alex Zhao in his speech addressing the staff and distributors on the proactive measures put in place by the company to lessen the effect of the lockdown and the pandemic at large, opined that “the pandemic relief items distribution as a palliative measure was meant to identify with our esteemed distributors during this hard time and to show our concern for their wellbeing, even as we are all passing through the unpleasant situation. It was also meant to encourage them to obey government’s directive to stay at home in order to flatten the curve and reduce spread of the deadly disease”.

In his words, “I urge our distributors to believe in the company that we will continue to do all that we can to lessen the impact of this pandemic on our distributors’ businesses. More measures will be released soon to help our distributors”.

KEDI has always positioned itself as the trusted business partner for her distributors. The fight against the deadly Coronavirus Disease is a collective responsibility. As an organization, we are committed to playing our part by taking necessary steps to protect the interests of our distributors and also contributing our quota to the global war against the pandemic.

While nobody knows when a return to normalcy will occur, we sincerely urge our distributors not to relent in observing all the stated preventive measures like regular hand washing with soap under running water for at least 20 seconds, the use of alcohol based hand sanitizer, maintaining social distance, avoiding crowded places or large gatherings, staying at home if possible and using a face mask when it is necessary to go out.
