SAY NO TO MALARIA—KEDI PARTICIPATED IN WORLD’S MALARIA DAY

The World’s Malaria Day commemorated in Nigeria was fully participated by KEDI in all States of the Country on 19th, 21st, 24th, 25th, and 27th of April, 2018 respectively in collaboration with the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), World Health Organization (WHO), and the State Ministries of Health.
It was a great day at St. Francis Anglican Primary School, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos as KEDI Healthcare Nig. Ltd. joins the world to celebrate the World’s Malaria Day. This event which was to sensitize the local communities about the fight against malaria caused by the female anopheles mosquito carrying the pathogen that causes malaria infection which has become a deadly disease in countries like Nigeria. Most local communities suffer from improper hygiene, hence; the importance of taking charge of their health is highly sacrosanct.
A 15 minutes radio program on Kpoko FM Warri, Delta State was held to educate people on the danger of being infected by malaria parasite and also how to prevent it. Also a joint press briefing was done with all KEDI partners to sensitize them about KEDI business and the efficacy of the use of Qinghao to combat malaria parasite in Nigeria.
Painting the town with a road show all over the cities of Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Kwara, Akwa-Ibom, Kano, Benin, Rivers and Abuja sharing of flyers, and engaging people with a one on one conversation, and giving of healthy gift items. Wrapping up the walk was a visit to the Holy Family Orphanage Home Abuja, Fomwam Orphanage Home, Osogbo. Mercy Hospital Abeokuta and Amosun Primary Healthcare Centre, Obantoko was not left out of the malaria day tour. However, gifts items like Qinghao, Specialized mosquito nets, and other KEDI Healthcare products were donated to the children at the orphanage homes, the Elderly home visited and also the hospital.
Estimated population at the event in all nooks and cranium of the country was about 1495 persons. Also in attendance is the likes of the company’s top distributors, Mr. Sunny Ojiaku, Chief Rich Adiele, Mr. Majek among others.
